MANCHESTER235 is to relaunch Fusion bar as 'Vega Lounge' in July.
New cocktails include The Vault, which features a modified safe with a working lock, TNT explosives on the side and lit sparklers
Named after the second brightest star in the northern hemisphere, Vega Lounge will be all about bright lights, Vegas and the North.
As well as the refurbishment and rebrand, the late-night bar will be given a new food and drinks menu. We've not heard anything about the food yet but the cocktails sound interesting, to say the least.
They include The Vault – where your cocktail is presented in a modified safe with a working lock, TNT explosives on the side and lit sparklers. Then there's Shots Roulette – shot glasses in a mini roulette wheel. And finally the Poker Face – a cocktail presented on a mirrored coaster with a large tulip glass and an ace of spades playing card.
A temporary bar is open until Vega is launched. Everything else in Manchester235 remains open for business as normal.
Justin Carter, venue director at Manchester235, said, “We’re extremely excited to announce the rebranding of Fusion to Vega Lounge. We believe this name reflects everything the bar represents – it’s engaging, exciting and immediately resonates with the glamour of Vegas.
“As one of the only late night venues in the city, we believe we have created a bar that people will want to spend time in, regardless of whether they are coming to gamble or not.”
