George and Ira Gershwin were two of the 20th century’s most prolific song writers and musicians, and in June the Comedy Store will be recapturing the magic of a bygone era with an absorbing night of music and narration, dedicated to the life and music of the Gershwins.
In support of Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, this exciting live music event will see a versatile and talented group of singers and narrators accompanied by a jazz trio to tell the story of the Gerswin brothers.
The show will have something for everyone – not just fans of the Gershwins. For those who don’t know anything about the iconic duo, the show will provide an informative glimpse into their part in the history and development of American popular music in the 20th century.
The show has been written and produced by Martin Roche, who will also be performing on the night.
Songs to be performed on the night will include show stopping hits – I got rhythm, S’wonderful, Summertime, Nice Work if You Can Get It, Somebody Loves Me, I got a Crush on You and many more…
So if you fancy a toe tapping night of music and performance call Ticket Master on 08705 932 932 or contact the Comedy Store’s box office here.
