This July, Latin dance fever will be hitting Wigan with the town’s biggest ever Summer Salsa extravaganza.
Between 8 and 10 July, Salsa… Feel the Heat will be organising over 45 hours of dance workshops and three party nights of sizzling entertainment. Held at the attractive Britannia Wigan Hotel, the weekend will begin with a relaxed party on the Friday night to be followed by workshops all weekend.
Having attracted over 300 dancers in the past five years, the annual dance event looks set to continue to draw in the crowds again this year.
Classes will give dancers the chance to experience various arms of the salsa family. Whether you’re keen to try out Cuban and Cha-Cha or you want to try your hand at more sensual dances such at Kizomba & Bachata, there will be plenty to keep you entertained.
If you’re in need of some guidance, there will be plenty of professionals around to help you out. The internationally renowned twice world open Salsa champion, Rafael Del Busto, and Portugal’s Kizomba dance sensation Nelson de Oliveira Campos are part of the line up of top names from around the globe.
Organiser and professional Salsa instructor Sue, of Atherton, said “The event will bring a really cultural atmosphere and a truly Latin feel to Wigan and we are sure it will help put the town on the dance map”.
Salsa dancing is great fun and Sue is winning new converts every week. Dancing is also a fantastic way of staying healthy and events such as the Summer Salsa extravaganza are a good way of meeting new people.
The whole event costs £109, with individual day and evening tickets being available too. To buy tickets and learn more click here.
