Spring is here and now that you have had your fill of chocolate eggs and the sun is shining, it’s about time that pesky rain stopped play. This week we have all you need to keep those annoying April showers at bay with some seriously stylish solutions.
Be bold in your rainwear choices this spring and shy away from the traditional black, brown or beige. This stunning bright red number is £95 from Monsoon and the gorgeous scalloped collar and contrasting trim will bring a ray of sunshine to any dull Manchester day. Tie the waistband tight and pop the collar up for a seriously sexy look, team it with a pair of contrasting heels and you are hot to trot.
Warm earthy colours are rife this spring/summer, with oranges, greens and mustards littering the high street. This Mustard option is a big surprise from J Taylor at Debenhams £75. This usually classic designer had upped the anti with very fashionable oversized buttons and wide collar detailing making it a super spring staple. Pop it with a teal bag and tights for a really head turning look.
If neutral shades are your thing then brighten things up a bit with some natty detailing. This season, intricate odds and ends perfect the majority of looks and your rain mac is no exception. From buttons to corsages, a little bit of thought goes a long way so use it to add an individual twist. This stone coloured mac, £79 from Principles, is brought to life with the retro black piping detail, perfect with a simple shift dress and heels.
Aqua and blues shades tend to be avoided by many, but they are one of the most flattering shades out there and suit a whole host of colourings. A double breasted style with a tie waist can be ultra sexy but avoid if you are blessed with an ample chest, instead go for a single breasted option which will slim your top half. This lovely pistachio metallic mac is reduced to £52 at Debenhams Collection so grab it while you can!
Well ladies, there you are, the best ways to dodge the showers in style. Check out Primark for their multicoloured brollies too, at £4 a total steal!
Happy shopping
