Presented by Wayne Rooney, Coke Zero Street Striker is searching for the nation’s most skilful street footballer.
The biggest flicks, best tricks and hardest kicks, are some of the raw talents that Rooney and the team will be looking for. Participants will have to display pace, agility and accuracy in a series of challenges at the open trials.
If you’re aged between 16 and 24 years old (or know anyone who is) and think you might have what it takes to be crowned Coke Zero Street Striker 2010, all you have to do is bring your trainers and mates to the trials in Cathedral Gardens in Manchester on Saturday 17 July.
Football hopefuls will be put through their paces as the hunt begins for 100 players to battle it out for the chance to prove themselves in front of Wayne Rooney and a live audience. Coke Zero Street Striker Presented by Wayne Rooney will air in the autumn on Sky1 and Sky1 HD.
Wayne Rooney, who honed his own football skills on the streets of Liverpool, said: “If you’re a young footballer with some decent skills then these auditions are your big chance to show us what you’ve got. I started playing football on the streets and I know that if you want to get recognised for your talent you have to put yourself up for these opportunities as they don’t come along often.”
