Sell your soul
This weekend the Kazimier proudly presents a screening of the seminal 1926 German film, Faust, as part of its Sunday Cinema programme.
The fantasy/horror film, directed by F. W. Murnau, projects God and Satan battling over the Earth, naturally, they decide however to wager the prayerful protagonist, Faust (Gosta Ekman) in order to settle their differences. Will Faust the German folk legend manage to stay on the straight and narrow for ever? Or will temptation takeover, allowing Satan to conquer the world?
There will be a live score accompanying the rare film gem, performed by Stan Ambrose on the harp. Cinema doesn’t get much better.
'Faust' @ the Kazimier, Sun 30th Nov, 6pm – 9pm
Bumper fun
Before hitting the road for a whopping 19-date live UK tour, Hollywood new wavers Iglu and Hartley will be stopping off at Bumper this Saturday for ‘Believe,’ a charity evening dedicated to sufferers of Osteoscarcoma, an extremely rare bone cancer.
As you would expect from Bumper, the event also features two fresh indie popping power trios in support, Mannequin Creek and We Make Models, both of which are local.
The often-shirtless five-piece will be returning to the pool on the 6th December, headlining the Carling Academy. Why not pop along to Bumper for a free taster of their live set, safe in the knowledge that you’re boozing for a good cause.

Celebrated tribute band, Think Floyd, return to the venue as part of their extensive autumn UK tour. The show features full length versions of both "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Wish You Were Here" along with a string of other Pink Floyd classics including Atom Heart Mother and Echoes.
Will the show be epic, progressive and psychedelic? Can a tribute band ever do the real thing justice? The string of Floyd fan sites suggest that these guys can and will.
