What's the link between 'sexual enigma' Sir Cliff Richards and alcoholic ginger beer? From the press release we've been sent, it's not immediately obvious, but it looks like you can have a taste of both at Spinningfields this Saturday when Summer Holiday is shown on the big screen.
Crabbies Alcoholic Ginger Beer are trying to get Cliff back to the top of the charts with his hit single 'Summer Holiday' so that he'll have six decades of number ones under his belt. They also want you to try their relaunched drink so they'll be at Spinningfields with their tour bus and team of 'Summer Holiday' campaigners.
Crabbies has been around since 1801 when John Crabbie created his Old Scottish Green Ginger Wine in Leith. It's now a refreshing, sparkling summery drink – though whether it's a patch on the Marble Brewery's ginger beer is yet to be seen.
Summer Holiday will be shown on the Big Screen in Spinningfields from 1pm on Saturday 15 August 2009. Key 103 DJ Darren Proctor will also be there from 11am, with holiday vouchers to give away.
