Sam’s Table Football World Cup – Round One

It’s all kicking off down at Sam’s Chophouse. Following the tense drawer last week, in which the 58 teams were each allocated a country, we are pleased to announce the results of the drawer.

This event is the talk of offices all over town. To cater for overwhelming demand, the matches for round one of the Table Football World Cup have been spread over four evenings, with seven or eight games a night.

Teams from Manchester companies will battle it out for a place in round two on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights next week. For the complete guide to round one of Sam’s Table Football World Cup, click here.

Each team should contact their opponents directly to arrange a convenient time on their allocated night. If you are unsure of your opponents’ contact details, contact us by clicking here and we will help out.

To get match fit, each player has been offered a personal training session at LA Fitness with Ric Moylan. And then to undo all that hard work, Sam’s Chophouse will be providing each player with a beer voucher for ‘refreshments’ during each match that they play. It’s thirsty work, this football malarkey.

This is a game of skill, cunning and mental strength. So get exercising those wrists in any way you see fit, and prepare to fight it out for the title of “Sam’s World Cup Champions 2006”.

Watch this space next week for results from all of the games, and details of who will be taking their eleven little men one step closer to the World Cup final on Friday July 7th.
