Ricky Hatton Tribute Night!

Published on February 6th 2006.

The majority of people in the UK have only seen Ricky Hatton in a pair of baggy pants, sweating profusely as he knocks the crap out of some poor bloke in the middle of the MEN Arena as a baying set of equally sweaty fans egg him on.

Mancunians are now being offered the chance to meet ‘The Hitman’ in a much more pleasant environment when the Palace Hotel hosts a special tribute night to one of Manchester’s finest.

While this exciting night is borne out of Hatton’s growing reputation as a true Manchester legend, it also represents one of the increasingly limited opportunities to rub shoulders with him. The level of Hatton’s fame has reached such heights that ‘The Hitman’s’ appearances in the UK, let alone the MEN Arena, are likely to be limited as even one of Manchester’s most loyal sons bows to the bright lights of Vegas.

The tribute night on March 11, 2006 is sponsored by Excel Publishing and sees all proceeds going the Variety Club to support work with disabled and disadvantaged children.

Ricky will be joined by stars from sport and entertainment for the night that’s sure to become one of the highlights of the north west social calendar. As well as a full dinner, the entertainment will include guest speakers as well as an auction for unique items and memorabilia.

For just £55 you get the works. A drinks reception, 3 course meal, plenty of entertainment and to see the man in person himself. Tributes are being made by Opera Singer Russell Watson, Bruce Jones and Steve Arnold from Coronation Street plus Glenn McCrory - Former Cruiser Weight Champion of the World.

The ideal opportunity to entertain business clients or just pay tribute to a Manchester icon, get your hands on a ticket for the night before they become harder to get your hands on than ringside tickets for a Hatton fight at the MEN.
