Manchester United Player Of The Year Awards

Join Sir Alex and the first team squad at their annual gala dinner

Manchester United Player Of The Year Awards

ON Monday 14 May, Old Trafford will host the annual Manchester United Player of the Year Awards Gala Dinner, where United’s finest, plus a host of celebrities from the world of football, music and showbiz, will toast the standout performers from the 2011/12 campaign. And with tickets now on sale, you could be part of it all.

This prestigious black-tie event, recognising the highs and lows of another dramatic season, will be attended by United legends past and present, Sir Alex Ferguson and, of course, the guests of honour – the first-team squad.

POTY_Form3Attendees will be treated to a sumptuous three-course meal, and can take part in an exclusive charity auction to raise much-needed funds for UNICEF, the Reds’ official charity partner.

There’ll also be on-stage interviews with the night’s big winners as well as the boss – who’ll hope to be reflecting on another title-winning season.

Last season’s gala dinner was a tremendous success, with Nani and Wayne Rooney taking home the individual Players’ Player and Goal of the Season gongs, while Javier Hernandez capped his fine debut season in England by claiming the main prize of the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award.

The competition is arguably even tougher this term, with a selection of players all competing for individual honours. New signings David De Gea, Phil Jones and Ashley Young seem set to earn plenty of votes, while seasoned campaigners Rio Ferdinand,
Ryan Giggs and Michael Carrick are also expected to feature.

Meanwhile, who could overlook the returning Paul Scholes and vibrant winger Antonio Valencia? And with the Reserves and Academy sides still in contention for the Reserve League title and FA Youth Cup respectively, it’ll be a tight decision as to which of their players are chosen as award winners.

As always, tickets for this popular event are expected to sell very quickly, so book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Tables of 10 are available, priced at £2,750 (plus VAT) for the Platinum option, with Gold packages on offer for £2,000 (plus VAT).
