Manchester Loves You – now show your support

SINCE Manchester is back on its feet and in business, for the last week of school summer holidays the “I Love MCR” campaign is being flipped on its head.

To show appreciation for all those hard-working, passionate Manchester folk that got involved with the clean-up following the riots and showed support for local businesses, the ‘I Love MCR’ campaign is calling on all local retailers, bars and restaurants to return the love and submit the best discounts and deals they can between Monday 29 August and Sunday 4 September.

338902_10150271167169582_312183814581_7653299_5504359_OThe disruptions have caused a commercial downturn in the city, but there is no more exciting method of getting the city buzzing again than by presenting every possible reason for locals to enjoy a night out, have a shopping spree or take a bite to eat in one of the city’s many great restaurants.

The campaign is a great way to drum up trade and show Manchester’s cultural offering too. Not only that, it’s an even better way of celebrating the wonderful work of the people of Manchester.

So, whether your bar can offer a free drink one evening, or your restaurant can offer 20 per cent off a pudding, we want you to submit your offer by August 25.

The more generous and big-hearted the offer: the better. Posters to advertise these offers on will be distributed to participating business between August 26 and 28 for offers to begin on the Bank Holiday Monday.

A template for your offer can be found online at www.marketingmanchester.com. Please complete and submit to info@cityco.com by Thursday 25 August in order to be included in the campaign.
