Lunch Beat Goes On

The lunch break craze is back for a third event at Black Dog Ballroom NQ

Lunch Beat Goes On

LUNCH BEAT returns for its third outing on Thursday 30 August – with special guest DJ, Shameless actor, Ciaran Griffiths.

The first Manchester Lunch Beat took place in May, with city centre folk leaving their desks for a hedonistic lunch hour of music and dancing.

Fuelled by nothing but good tunes, a healthy wrap and a complimentary bottle of water, dancers let go of their inhibitions to embrace the spirit of the event, which originated in a car park in Sweden.

Ciaran, who plays Mikey Maguire in Shameless, will bring his own unique mix of reggae, funk and ska to this month's Lunch Beat at Black Dog Ballroom in the Northern Quarter.

Tickets usually cost £8, but Confidential readers can pick them up for just £5. Each ticket includes a light healthy lunch and bottled water is provided throughout for free. There’s also a free t-shirt for the first 50 people to book tickets online using the discount code MC30.

Lunch Beat will take place at Black Dog Ballroom, on the corner of Tib Street and Church Street, between 1-2pm on Thursday 30 August.
