Levenshulme's Handmade And Home Market

“HAVE nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” So said William Morris, who would have had a ball at the Handmade and Home Market happening in Levenshulme on Saturday 7 June.

It's a community market that attracts shoppers from right across Manchester and beyond.

It's packed with beautiful, useful things for your home, from mid-century kitchenware to original art prints, all from high quality traders offering something different to your usual high street stores. You can shop for jewellery, clothes, books and art as well as furniture, home accessories and pretty things that'll brighten up your living space.

The Handmade and Home Market is a monthly event but Levenshulme Market is there every Saturday. It has four rotating themes plus regular food and drink sellers so you get an ever-changing range of stalls combined with a chance to stock up on basics such as bread, fruit and veg, and coffee. (And not-so-basics, such as lemon meringue cake and chocolate brownies).

It hosts about 50 traders each week and there's a real buzz to the place on market day. It's a community market that attracts shoppers from right across Manchester and beyond, and is fast becoming known as one of the city's best shopping experiences.

Why not go and check it out? Levenshulme Market is held in the station car park every Saturday from 10am to 4pm. It's just a six minute train journey from Piccadilly.
