Lady like chic

This season instead of pulling on your baggy jeans opt for the more feminine option and give it some leg!

Lady like chic

With this season’s boyish trend creating a frenzy of baggy jeans and wide legged trousers how is a girl supposed to create a sexy and feminine look this season? Well the answer is to show some leg and invest in some of the ultra girly skirts that are gracing our high streets this autumn.

This black mesh skirt with emerald green under layer and satin ribbon sash is as girly as it comes and great for a totally feminine yet very hip look. The ribbon detail is perfect for hourglass figures as it really accentuates the waistline and the slight A line cut will balance out curvy thighs. Put it with a plain black vest, emerald beads and ballet pumps for a quirky daytime look or glam it up with heels and a slinky top.

If you fancy showing some leg then why not try one of the many mini skirts on offer this season? Try using pattern to add interest in one of this autumn’s checks or this black and white dogtooth number for just £20 at Dorothy Perkins. Its round belt and funky length make it a key piece for this season’s sixties look. Try it with tights and boots in the chillier months or with funky heels and a simple vest for a swinging evening alternative.

The metallic look took over these season’s catwalks and here is your chance to add some shine to your wardrobe. This gorgeous silver number is from Limited Collection at M&S and costs a very ladylike £45. Its wide waistband and knee length finish make it an ultra girly look. Try it with a crisp white shirt and waist sincher belt for a smart and sexy look, finished off with leopard print heels- two trends in one.

The pencil skirt is great for creating that j-lo esque figure - bringing all of the attention to the posterior by creating a tapered hem. It’s a classic cut that never dates, but rather than opting for the basic black version, this season sees it in silky satins, contrasting prints and bold colours. This stunning bronze option from Vera Wang sports detail galore in the form of a red sequinned and diamante encrusted leaf design and intricate stitching at both the waist and hem. Of course such luxuries are to be paid for in the not so purse friendly price tag of £2,570 but try Top Shop, Urban Outfitters and Jigsaw for some equally gorgeous bejewelled options.
