John Cooper Clarke Heads For The O2 Apollo

FOLLOWING the success of Manchester-born John Cooper Clarke’s critically acclaimed, UK, headline tour in 2014, one of Britain’s best-loved and most important performance poet has announced his incredible schedule for 2015.

Clarke mixes classic verse, extraordinary new material, hilarious ponderings on modern life, good honest gags, riffs and chat.

This includes a headline show at Manchester’s Apollo Theatre, a Christmas Show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, a USA tour for May, a collaboration with The Inspiral Carpets, appearances at the UK’s major festivals, radio commissions, and a string of further headline dates around the UK.

Clarke will be headlining at Manchester’s O2 Apollo on Saturday 21 March 2015 where he will be joined by friends including Mike Garry, Luke Wright and Simon Day (performing as Yorkshire poet Geoffrey Allerton).

Clarke mixes classic verse, extraordinary new material, hilarious ponderings on modern life, good honest gags, riffs and chat.

John’s collaboration with The Inspiral Carpets, on their hotly-anticipated, self-titled new album – their first in 20 years - has produced the single Let You Down. A headline coast-to-coast USA tour commences in May.
