It’s a steal

The turkey is finished and the Baileys has been shelved for yet another year. It’s time to start afresh for 2007 with a new wardrobe from the sales.

It’s a steal

Stylish Sales Steals:
Time to wipe the slate clean and start afresh for 2007 and what better way than with finding bargains galore and shedding a few pounds by hitting the high street sales? So how many of you have braved them already? For those of you who opted for your sofa and yet another chocolate orange, do not fear, there are still bargains to be had and what’s even better is that you may well enjoy the experience! So sit back, relax and take a look at my top tips for effortless bargain hunting this January.

Go all posh!
Instead of opting for your old high street favourites, now is the time to grab your designer rip off bag and sashay down the more upmarket parts of town. Collections that were once only to be drooled at can now fall comfortably into your price range and make the most of it! Remember your price per wear here which means splashing the cash only on key pieces that you will wear over and over again. Check out these gorgeous Chloe tab front wool trousers. The wide leg style, quality light-weight wool and beige colour will ensure longevity as both a casual and more formal option. An absolute bargain at £159.50 reduced from £319.00. Try Emporio Armani for fabulous suits, Donna Karen for classic coats and Stella McCartney for stunning skirts.

Choose Cashmere:
Cashmere is one of those things that just exudes quality and classic style. The sales are a great time to stock up on this luxurious favourite at a much more purse friendly price tag. Go for some bold colours in classic V or round neck jumpers or a stunning scarf and gloves guaranteed to keep you toasty warm and set you apart from the polyester crowd. This grey cashmere wrap top has been reduced from £140 to £110 at www.purecollection.com and Marks & Spencer, Debenhams and John Lewis all have some fantastic bargains to be had!

It’s all in the jeans:
Designer jeans are a sale favourite and now is the time to pick up a real quality bargain that you will wear again and again. Choose a dark denim for a slimming effect and skinny jeans will still be hovering for next season so they are a safe bet, as are the boyfriend cut. Try Selfridges and Harvey Nichols for some of the best bargains around. This pair are from True Religion and are definitely one of the best cuts around for curvy bums and thighs. They were £240 and are now an impressive £94! Believe me, you won’t have them off your legs! Click onto www.net-a-porter.com to bag yourself a pair now.

Bring your existing wardrobe to life with some colourful accessories. The sales are a great place to pick up really good staple pieces that will add interest and style to any boring outfit. Try accessorise for cute brooches, have a rummage in the bargain bins at Top Shop for some of the best coloured beads around and dive down to Primark for some tasty patterned scarves at just £2 each! I love these coloured bags from Dorothy Perkins and with them reduced to £10 there really is no excuse for not treating yourself to one!

Now it’s time to wrap up warm, hit the shops and bag those sales bargains!
