For some people (women mostly) it’s a symbol of love, unity and completeness. For others (men) it marks the end of singledom and tv dinners. A wedding ring is so more than a decorative item on your finger.
It’s easy to identify a newly married man. He is the one with sweaty palms, uncomfortably twiddling the band which is making him feel and look like a homing pigeon.
But it does appear that more and more men are succumbing (or being coerced) to the idea of wearing a wedding band. Our fathers and grandfathers wouldn’t have entertained the idea -“Blokes who wear jewellery are as queer as a nine bob note,” is my father’s particularly favourite saying.
So thank goodness for the introduction of equality where women can now retort: “I take your name – you wear the ring, sunshine.”
Search for a man’s wedding ring in Wave Jewellery and the fear element is reduced significantly. The staff have a keen eye for design and advise enthusiastically without peering over half-moon bi-foculs. It’s also an incredibly contemporary and highly tasteful store, so there’s no risk of emerging like darts player, Bobby “Dazzler” George.
We’ve rolled out our Wave favourites.
