Hot In the City - Ringspun kick off the Summer

Published on March 16th 2005.

Ringspun, Manchester’s finest fashion label, are putting on the first Summer bash of the year this weekend.

Notorious in the field of international partying themselves, Ringspun have decided to launch the Summer’s first main event on Saturday 19th March 2005 on home soil in fully blown, no holds barred, carnival style.

Hosted at the Annexe in Kendals, the carnival starts at noon on Deansgate where fun and frolics are guaranteed* and will go on until 6pm when the event will end up in-store.

On top of the relief that the freezing cold snap is finally disappearing back off to the north pole, Ringspun will be laying on games, prizes and – blimey – drinks for all! (Wasn’t going to go but I suppose I might pop down! – Gordo).

So why are Ringspun being so generous? It's all in aid of celebrating the runaway success of Ringspun’s fresh and funky Spring/Summer collection.

Forget waiting for the summer to get here slowly, Summer steel bands, live music and even break dancing are going to be cranking up the temperature right on your doorstep.

Limbo dancing, Hawaiian hula dancers and the Brazilian capoeira will see thermometers cracking and brows sweating across the city, but at least you’ll be able to cool yourself down with the free beer on offer.

As if that wasn’t enough, gifts, prizes, discount vouchers and the exclusive Ringspun card are going to be dished out faster than the Arvizo family can file a celebrity lawsuit.

So chuck out the winter coat, tell your doctor you're cured of Seasonal Affected Disorder for another year, get your shades and swimsuits on and get down to the Annexe this Saturday afternoon to celebrate the early start of Summer!
