Ever heard of a 'bring a bag' sale? Handbags at Dusk is a charity event where you donate handbags you don't use anymore so they can be sold on to someone else. It'll take place on Monday 6 April from 6.30pm-8.30pm at Dukes 92 in Castlefield, and if you're after a new bag, it's a great way to revamp your handbag collection in a way which won't break the bank. All money will go to Manchester women's charity The Birdhouse Fund, which gives women across the region a step up in life.
Handbags at Dusk are calling for people to have a good clear out and donate unwanted handbags for this great cause. You can arrange to drop off your bags, or possibly organise to have them collected, by contacting Roz Hughes on 07976 800395 or Emma Sumner on 07931 318095.
Bags can also be left at Rags to Bitches on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter, or at the Community Foundation offices on Beswick Row opposite the CIS Tower.
Anyone donating three bags or more will be given a special priority entrance voucher. This means that when you buy a ticket, you will be able to browse the bags from 6pm, half an hour before everyone else, helping you to bag the best bargains
Entry for this night of girlie fun is £5 per person and includes a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival and the opportunity to find some fashion bag bargains. Tickets must be bought in advance. Click here to get yours.
