Glamorous Fashion

Glamorous Fashion

Where is it:

20 Bramhall Lane South

The History:

Owner, Helen Sweetman opened Glamorous in May 2007. Being a Bramhall resident herself, Helen knew what women in the area wanted. Affordability and glamour.

In terms of women's fashion, Bramhall already has Angela Beers which stocks designer dresses, Montage specialising in bridalwear and SOS which dominates the cheaper priced end of the market. Helen wanted to tap into the market familiar to her: high-end, modern, boutique designs at affordable prices.

Helen began by selling shoes and bags. It was only upon feedback from customers that she decided to start stocking designer inspired evening wear.

Who shops there:

Local ladies who need a very special outfit for a very special occasion.Glamorous also attracts customers worldwide via their website. The website stocks even higher-end dresses up to the value of £900.

What does it sell:

The type of dresses you would only normally see on Strictly Come Dancing and at Christmas balls. Glamorous sources these gowns from Paris, New York, London and Milan. The shop is divided into boutique and ready-to-wear. In the boutique section you will find exclusive one-off dresses priced up to £300. The ready-to-wear range dresses cost between £50-£100 and tops at around £35.

Glamorous also still sells hats, clutch purses, bags, jewellery, watches and belts to accompany the dresses.

Why go there:

ther than the beautiful clothes and passion of the owner, Glamorous also has some other enticing factors.

If you're worried that you can't fork out the full £300 for that special gown, Glamorous offer interest free credit that can be paid off in three installments. Perfect for when looking glam clashes with the credit crunch.

If you love the dress but don't have anywhere to wear it, Helen has it covered. This one-woman fashion army is now providing the balls for the dresses as well as the dresses for the balls.

Visit the shop to find out what Glamorous events are coming up.

The future:

Most shops have the future plan to expand, but Glamorous is to keep it's Bramhall exclusivity. Helen is also interested in offering fashion students space to showcase and sell their work, so long as it's women's evening wear that fits with the theme of the shop. Glamorous through and through.
