It’s our absolute favourite season for fashion and in celebration of Autumn/Winter collections, Triangle Shopping Centre in conjunction with Manchester Fashion Network is hosting a fashion event, featuring the hottest looks by designers of the future.

Ten of the best graduate designers have been selected from Universities across the North West, including UCLAN and Manchester Metropolitan, to showcase their fresh talent and will be competing for the lucrative prize of having their collections housed at Triangle’s Unique Boutique for three months.

Maria McGreevey, MD of Unique Boutique at Triangle, who is one of the experts on the judging panel comments,

“We only stock pieces from up and coming independent designers and provide a boutique environment in the city centre for which local, national and international designers can sell their collections to Manchester’s more discerning dressers.

“The boutique has proved a huge success since its opening in September last year, which is why this is such a great opportunity for the region’s emerging talent. We’ll be looking for designs that offer our customers a truly unique style that is practical to wear – that’s a tough challenge!”

Britain’s Next Top Model star Rebecca White will be modeling the key pieces and the finalists will then be interviewed by the panel of expert judges on their designs, inspirations and why they feel they have what it takes to shake up Manchester’s fashion scene.

Other judges are fashion journalists Amechi Lhenacho – Fashion Editor Flux Magazine and Nick Cook – Editor of MensWear Buyer, plus renowned fashion designers and retailers, Vicky Martin, Laurence Bidston – designer at Bench and Cat Woods – Designer at Henri Lloyd.

Guests will also be treated to a trends show featuring some of the hottest looks for Autumn/Winter by stores in the Triangle.

The centre will open its doors at 6 pm on the 4th September inviting all fashionistas to get a sneak preview into today and tomorrow’s talent and will benefit from up to 20% off at many of Triangle’s retailers.
