Funky Festive Footwear

You’ve bought the frock and the accessories but your feet just ain’t feeling the festive love. Give them some soul with some funky footwear

Funky Festive Footwear

Every girl needs shoes and what better reason to celebrate the Festive Season than with some sparkly toed wonders.

Fist things first, I can confirm that Leopard print is still in for next year, maybe not head to toe, but in strategically placed splashes, you can’t go wrong. The best way to wear it is in footwear. This gorgeous furry pair are from Red Herring at Debenhams and at £30 will add a touch of animal magic to any boring black dress.

Now, tis the season to be treated and have I found a super stylish bargain for you…..When is a shoe not a shoe? When it is so totally gorgeous that it could well pass as a piece of art. I don’t know about you but the thought of treading the cobbles of Manchester in a £300 pair of shoes for them to get wrecked on one night out doesn’t fill me with joy. Well fear not my friends as the sales have come early and you can snap up this stunning pair of Gina’s classic Serena shoes for just £175 (normal price a whopping £315) Get down to Kurt Geiger now to treat you tootsies to the best- and yes they are sooooo comfy!

Ok, you know where I stand on colour by now….if it ‘aint bright it ‘aint right, especially at this time of year! Now this doesn’t mean tying tinsel to your peep toes but instead put your best foot forward in some of the yummy coloured options that are on offer. These scrummy glittery numbers are from Forinara (£75) at www.asos.com and come in grey or this rather punchy green. The bow detail adds that little bit of drama and they are perfect with jeans and a sparkly top. Try matching the colour of your shoes to a bangle or brooch for a complete look; sometimes the matching bag can be a little overkill.

Be prepared is my shoe mantra, there is nothing less sexy than a hobbling party girl when, come 10pm her seriously stunning footwear is causing her to wince. There are tonnes of contraptions available on the market to pad out your pumps but my all time best buy are the good old Scholl Party Feet (£5) from Boots. They also do handy grippers for shoe straps to stop them flicking off you feet as you saunter along Deansgate - ingenious!

Whatever your plans for this festive season have a fab time, eat, drink, be merry and of course very, very stylish!

See you in the New Year with my top sales shopping tips
