Festival 15 At MFDF

We team up with the Food and Drink Festival to create a mass explosion in Manchester dining

Festival 15 At MFDF

MANY of Manchester's most renowned restaurants will slash their prices for ten days in October as part of Manchester Food and Drink Festival.

The festival has just announced details of its Festival Fifteen programme which will see fifteen-plus of the city's leading restaurants and favourite eateries offering £15 dining deals.

Restaurants taking part in Festival Fifteen include Aumbry which will create a five-course mini taster menu for £15 and Damson which is offering a two-course lunch with wine.  Blackdog Ballroom, Abode, The Northern Quarter Restaurant, Thomas Restaurant, Tampopo, Market Restaurant and Vertigo are amongst the other establishments involved. The deals change at each restaurant but the £15 price tag runs throughout.

Confidential is right behind them on this. We believe that Manchester has restaurants to rival many great European cities, but that dining out just isn't as well established in our daily lives as it is on the Continent.

Whereas you regularly see troupes of workers settling down to a menu del dia in Spain, we're more likely to speed-eat a sandwich or head home for a ready meal that fills the belly but does nothing for the soul.

Festival Fifteen encourages us to develop a different approach to dining out and see it as an affordable part of a well-rounded life. A habit we're entitled to enjoy regularly rather than a treat for a special occasion.

With the £15 deals you can experience restaurants you may have heard of but perhaps considered beyond your price range. Or if you're a regular restaurant-goer, you can use it to try somewhere new, outside of your usual favourites.

Take advantage of it while it lasts. Festival Fifteen runs throughout Manchester Food and Drink Festival, from 7 to 17 October. To see the full list of £15 deals, please click here.
