The Trafford Centre fashion show last week became more of a fashion revelation as big knickers and body stockings were aired in public.
Real guys and girls as opposed to species from outer space sauntered down the catwalk showing the Autumn/Winter collections from Selfridges, Debenhams, John Lewis and Marks and Spencer. This season sees patterns, bold colours and chunky knitwear for gals and a much more tailored look for the blokes.
Susanna Kelly from style centre Code Image provided a shocking yet welcomed exposé on just how the models prevented everything jiggling about in those slinky and normally unforgiving outfits. It’s all about control ladies. Control pants, control body stockings, control tights, in fact there isn’t any part of your body that can’t be contained. Apparently they do them for men, but more focused on enlargement as opposed to concealment.
Susanna also explained the choices of clothing for the varying body shapes and proved that even the more curvaceous lady can carry off skinny jeans by balancing them with the top half.
