EXHIBITION

Richard Goodall Gallery

March 2008 will see the Richard Goodall Gallery, play host to American artist Kendra Binney, with the UK exclusive showing of a collection of her brand new paintings. This relationship to the small, obscure and unnoticed has informed her adult creative career. Her paintings reveal a world of dripping landscapes, memories, remorse and unspoken thoughts. Go and view.

FILM

Lars and the real girl (12A)

Lars is a lonely, loveable introvert who finally discovers romance through the internet. But when he introduces Bianca to his brother and sister-in-law they're aghast - she's an inflatable doll (not that Lars seems to notice). How can they help cure his delusion? May sound like a mid-week Channel Four documentary but luckily this is just a film. And a poignant and funny film at that.

Where: Cornerhouse, 70 Oxford Street, M1 5NH
Price: Matinées (before 5pm): £4.60 full / £3.30 concessions, evenings (from 5pm): £5.70 full / £4 concessions

Do your own road-test this week by going to see the first major UK exhibition of Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba- one of the most exciting Asian artists to have emerged in recent years.
