ONE thing we've learnt about nights out in town during the crazy period that runs from about now until New Year's Eve, is that you need to have a plan. At all costs avoid stumbling from one packed-out bar to another in the freezing cold, faced with a fifteen minute bar queue and a room full of paralytic solicitors on a works do.
Manchester235 has a reputation for being one of the best destinations in Manchester for New Year's Eve
We recommend Manchester235 for your hit list if you want a glamorous, chic Christmas night out rather than a chaotic, overcrowded one. Go here for divine food, sophisticated drinks, a flutter on the tables, or a combination of the three.
In Manchester235's Linen restaurant, they're serving a luxurious festive menu that will make for a lovely meal out with friends or a partner. Take a look at it below – smoked salmon, steaks, chocolate parfait, all done in with fine-dining flair.
The head chef Jarda is one-to-watch, and the service is second-to-none. Book by calling 0161 828 0345.
If it's a night out you're after, the plush, blue-lit Fusion Bar in the heart of the casino is your destination. Their mixologists make superb cocktails, and there's a DJ every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in December. Manchester235 exudes a Las Vegas-style gitz and excitement – it's a place for getting dressed up in your finest and soaking up the atmosphere.
Fusion Bar is also a top tip for late drinks in Manchester. Manchester235 is open 24-hours and serves alcohol until 6am.
New Year's Eve

In Fusion party-goers get an arrival drink, reserved seating, and a delicious hot and cold buffet for £39. The bar's open until 6am – it'll be a big one. Book online here.
