7 DAYS in Havana is a film which aims to capture the vibrancy of modern-day Havana as an clever, diverse and forward thinking city. The feature length film is made up of seven shorts directed by seven separate internationally acclaimed directors including Gaspard Noe (Enter The Void) and a directorial debut for Benicio Del Toro (The Usual Suspects, Traffic).
The film also features starring roles from Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) and Daniel Bruhl (Inglorious Basterds). Each segment of the movie takes place over a single day in Havana portraying different views and stories of the city.
The Spanish language film was written by the Cuban novelist Leonardo Padura Fuentes and shot on location in Havana.
Following its recent preview at Cannes film festival 7 Days in Havana is scheduled to be previewed over seven nights in seven cities across England with a Cuban themed party to celebrate its release.
As well as Edinburgh, Leeds, Bristol, Sheffield, Brighton and London, Manchester film fans will get a chance to catch the film on June 28 before its official release on July 6.
The event will take place in the Northern Quarter at new venue 2022NQ (20/22 Dale Street click here) with DJs laying on Cuban vibes for guests who will be invited to stay on for a post screening Latin American style after party.
Tickets are available from online here and also from the venue on a first come first served basis, priced at £5 each and even include a complementary Mojito on arrival.
