THIS Halloween saw Manchester come alive with all things ghastly, the streets laced with ghoulish ghosts, ghostly ghouls and students dressed in very little.
The word on the street was that the place to be was over with our pals at Black Dog Ballroom in the Northern Quarter to celebrate their fourth birthday in the only way they know how – drinks, dancing, pool and more drinks.
Resident DJs Stuart Richards and DJ da Funk Quixano, alongside a special spot from Manchester’s soul and funk cool guy, Craig Charles, made sure the music flowed well into the witching hour.
Heading over, the decision was made to leave Gordo at home as his Halloween outfit seemed to consist of a chef’s jacket, jeans, socks and jesus slippers. Quite frightening, but mainly just weird.
The place was bursting at the seams and everyone had made a real effort with their gory get-ups. Witches, Beetlejuices and erm..Teletubbies saw an eclectic mix out to celebrate another successful year for Black Dog. They were even presented with a big, fat cake.
