Wakes At Albert Square Chop House

CHOOSING the right wake venue is just one of many jobs people are faced with when someone dies. At the Albert Square Chop House in Manchester city centre, they go out of their way to make the occasion memorable, personal, and as simple as possible for you.

Both function suites have their own private access, private bar, fine traditional furnishings, and lots of natural light, making them ideal for daytime events

Their team can organise a wake with as little as 24 hours' notice. Contact details are given at the end of this article.

A venue with character

_51I9026 The Albert Square Chop House is in a beautifully restored, grade II-listed building in the civic heart of Manchester.

Downstairs is the pub and restaurant, while upstairs are two distinctive function suites: The Thomas Worthington Room with stunning views of Albert Square, and the larger Memorial Hall which is named after the meeting space which gave the building its reason for being.

Both function suites have their own private access, private bar, fine traditional furnishings, and lots of natural light, making them ideal for daytime events.

Whether you wish for a formal gathering or a more relaxed celebration of the life of the loved one, this historical setting will not disappoint.

Best of British food

The talented chefs here are renowned for their locally-sourced British food with a twist, so you can rest-assured that your guests will enjoy a first-class buffet that does your loved one proud. There is a set buffet menu and a finger buffet menu, or the option to 'create your own'.
