Promenade theatre comes to Victoria Baths

VICTORIA BATHS will provide a distinctive setting for the the promenade theatre production of The Greatest Sin of All. The production which will take place on April 1 and will be presented by the Schmucks theatre company, directed by Nathan Shreeve, Jo Gewirtz and Kitty Critchley.

Exploring the emotional experiences of those affected by the actions with an cast of 50 talented performers. Included in the performance will be sound installations designed by the composer Brona Martin of acclaimed short film ‘Missing’.

The Greatest Sin of All will re-tell the true stories of the holocaust, exploring the emotional experiences of those affected by the actions of an unhinged as the audience is taken on a eye-opening journey with stories of survivors and victims of the vicious unhinged Nazi regime.

The production will use the internationally famous Victoria Baths as an emotion backdrop for the production, which will take its audience on an intimate journey through the horrors of the period.

Exploring the emotional experiences of those affected by the actions with an cast of 50 talented performers. Included in the performance will be sound installations designed by the composer Brona Martin of acclaimed short film ‘Missing’.

Founded in Manchester, Schmucks theatre company have already enjoyed huge success with their premier production ‘The Carroll Myth’. The self funded production was completely sold out and is being revised for runs at the Buxton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.

The Greatest Sin of All will take place on 1 April 2011 at Victoria Baths. Times vary.
