Mr Thomas`s Chop House Feedback

The meal was huge - I had peppers/ rissoto and my husband had the skeak and kidney pudding - he coulnd't eat it all. The service was excellent. It was friendly and you can take kids in till 9.30. The soup was broccoli and cheese - wow. i was full on that. A glass of wine is a bit dear though, better with the bottle.Tthe only thing was a bit of cigarette smoke coming from the bar area. Glad the back door was open. The passage to the toilets was a history tour of Manchester. I will go again very soon. it was the best night we have had out alone in ages - thanks to all concerned

Fabulous - lovely food, great environment, friendly staff. & good value for such huge portions (even more so when free!). My soup had no dumplings but that was the only gripe. Hopefully will be back. THANK YOU.

As soon as we stepped through the doors into the warm, bustling room, we knew we were in for a treat. The food was exceptional - compliments to the chef!! This twinned with the fantastic service, made the night just wonderful. Thanks for the invite, we will definately call again!

We had a wonderful evening at The People's Gala Dinner, the food was excellent (and tere was lots of it!), the service was also seamless despite the staff being rushed off their feet. A new dining star is born.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the people's dinner at Tom's Chop House. This was my debut visit, but was pleased to find that it more than lived up to expectations, having heard rave reviews. I was very impressed with the standard of food, service and the venue. The highlight for me was the starter of corn beef hash cake with poached egg and HP sauce - yummy! Thanks to everyone at Manchester Confidential and Tom's.

Great Venue, excellent food but rather expensive for a pub. With a bottle of £12 wine the meal for 2 should have come to around £72 which I feel is expensive for a city centre pub. I would not hesitate taking clients as it can be claimed back on expenses but taking the Mrs out, I would pass I think.

Excellent, attentive service with great food to go with it. Keep up the good work!!

We were really pleased at being given a free 3 course meal and would firstly like to say thanks very much! The only other comments I would make were that it was rather hot in the dining area, and also that the cheese for pudding was extremely sweaty and there needed to be more variety. I'm glad we were there in the first sitting as it looked like things were getting a bit more 'frantic' later on ie people waiting for tables and food running out. Overall though, fab!

Bec Parsons

Was lovely food - great service, but was too hot! Duck was absolutely gorgeous. Thanks!

Emma Foster
