Win tickets to the British Open Squash Championships

This year’s British Open Squash Championships will be staged at the National Squash Centre in Manchester from the 8 - 14 September and we've got a pair of tickets to give away.

The world class event is being hosted by internationalSPORTgroup and event partners England Squash & Racketball, Manchester City Council and HEAD Sport. Widely regarded as the 'Wimbeldon of Squash', the tournament is expected to deliver the most exciting matches in the sport.

Councillor Mike Amesbury, Manchester City Council's Executive Member for Culture and Leisure, said: "We are delighted to be bringing the British Open back to Manchester in what we hope will be a landmark year for the sport. Since the establishment of the National Squash Centre we have developed a tradition of attracting the world's best squash players to the city and they know they are always assured of a warm welcome.

“Their presence also serves as an inspiration to our up and coming young players, emerging from what we believe is the best squash development programme in the country. We look forward to welcoming the squash family to Manchester in September and to a fantastic week of world class sport.”

This year's championships will be presented by Robert Edwards who is universally recognised as 'The Voice of Squash' after presenting almost 300 major international squash events over the past 25 years.

Paul Walters of internationalSPORTgroup said: "Robert has an unrivalled level of experience which has helped him create a special bond with the top players, something which is most apparent in his courtside interviews, and we very much welcome the invaluable contribution that he will make to this year’s event”.
