Del Amitri were the Glaswegian boys that made it big in the late 80’s and early 90’s, with tunes such as ‘Always the Last to Know’, ‘Nothing ever Happens’ and ‘Roll to Me’ making them household names.
Currie has spent the last four years working on a number of sideprojects, and is now returning as a solo artist with his forthcoming album ‘Rebound’ and a UK tour.
Currie says, “I love these new songs and I could never have got them to fit on a Del Amitri album. As for the shows. Well there’ll be a balance between what I’ve done in the last 5 years and raiding my back catalogue for the small treasures that I still love to play. They sit side-by-side perfectly happily – like bacon and eggs, so tell the audience to bring some ketchup”.
