They'll be dressing this neo-classical building with spectacular Christmas decorations in the theme of a Venetian Ball. With fresh garlands from the parkland, striking displays, and live music it promises to be a magical experience.

The Venetian theme is inspired by the Egerton family's travels to Italy during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The Italian influence is apparent throughout the estate – particularly in the gardens and in the Canaletto paintings on display in the Drawing Room.

Visit the mansion on a weekday and you can learn how to make your own decorations at home. At weekends children can take part in Venetian mask-making.

You can make a full day of it at Tatton Park – have a walk in the estate's beautiful parkland, and do some Christmas shopping in the gift shop, garden shop and housekeeper’s store. There's also a restaurant, a café, a farm and more.

The Christmas mansion at Tatton Park is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 7 December to 23 December from midday to 4pm (last entry 3pm).
