When Robert Owen Brown rocked up at Electrik for a Guestrant appearance last March, he served suckling pig cooked whole to whoops and cheers from the crowd.
Now he's going back for more. Robert Owen Brown will be doing his second Guestrant gig on Monday 20 September and we've got two tickets to give away.
Enter below to be in with a chance of winning. But if you'd rather not leave it in the hands of lady luck, we advise you to buy your tickets soon. Guestrant – where a guest chef takes over Chorlton's Electrik for a night to serve a feast of their best-ever nosh – has become very popular.
So far they've had the husband and wife team behind Aumbry, Ning's Norman Musa, wild food lady Beth Creedon, and Sheffield rising star Tim Buca.
Rob Owen Brown will be serving up his trademark British/Lancashire cooking with locally sourced produce. 'Locally-sourced' here could well mean he's gone out and shot, caught or trapped the meat himself. September is gaming season – and he's a man who loves his game. (A vegetarian option will be available, mind.)
Rob has just been nominated for Chef of the Year in the Manchester Food and Drink Awards after doing a storming job in the kitchen at the Mark Addy. Go along and see whether you think he deserves your vote.
Tickets for Guestrant cost £27.50. The event will be held at 7.30pm on Monday 20 September. The atmosphere is social – shared tables, chit chat between strangers, a room full of people brought together by the love of good food.
To buy tickets call Electrik on 0161 881 3315 or drop in to the bar. They sell out fast.
