If you want to see performances that are exciting, intriguing and a little bit different, the 24:7 festival is a good bet. With 16 new plays brought to you by up-and-coming writers, directors and actors, it's a breeding ground for theatre talent.
The 60-minute plays take place in non-theatre venues including the Midland Hotel, Pure in the Printworks, and music store Zavvi in the Arndale Centre. The unconventional
surroundings and low ticket prices (no more than £6) attract crowds who might not normally make it to the theatre, so seats tend to sell quickly. More than 11,000 people have seen 24:7 performances so far. This year, they're expecting to add another 5,000 to that figure.
To start things off, Manchester Confidential has two pairs of tickets to give away. Simply enter your details below and tell us how many performances will take place over the seven days of the festival (check out their website if you're stuck). We will then select two correct entries from random who will win a pair of tickets.
24:7 Theatre Festival runs from Monday 21 July to Sunday 27 July. Find out about the plays and book tickets at www.247theatrefestival.co.uk.
