Sailor Jerry presents The King Blues to headline Manchester

Win tickets and a book for The King Blues this Friday

ON Friday 10 June, London based ska-folk band The King Blues will be playing at Manchester’s Night and Day in the third of a series of five live performances hosted by Sailor Jerry.

For Manchester Confidential readers, two free tickets for the gig are up for grabs as well as a limited edition book ‘Homeward Bound: The Life and Times of Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry’, and a signed copy of the King Blues latest album ‘Punk and Poetry’.

THEKINGBLUES_210211_570 %28Large%29.jpgThe gigs have been inspired by the legend of Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins, the founding father of old-school American tattooing, whose shop was a home from home for many sailors away on shore leave. Passing away in 1973, his energy and motto of ‘originate don’t imitate’ continued to be the influence behind many creations including the popular alcoholic drink   ‘Sailor Jerry Spiced’ which bears Collins’ signature of craftsmanship.

Punk-rockers the King Blues promise to take the stage by storm in the spirit of Collins himself, and while they’re performing, bar staff will be serving up a couple of free Sailor Jerry Spiced mixes throughout the evening.

Tickets are available at www.sailorjerry.co.uk and cost £5, or £6 at the door on the night.
