Win outdoor theatre tickets

If you like dressing up and taking photos of yourself, you'll love this competition from Heartbreak Productions. They're performing Henry V and Charley's Aunt at Fletcher Moss in Didsbury later this month and you can win tickets by creating an outfit in the style of one of the characters.

Shakespeare's Henry V is usually seen sporting a crown, a swishing robe and a shiny sword. If you're stuck for something to do this evening, why not reinvent yourself in his image?

Charley's Aunt is a farcical comedy set in a sleepy Oxford cottage on a summer evening. Think boater hats, parasols, and elegant gowns – the type of clothes you might wear if you were nibbling cucumber sandwiches and sipping Pimm's on the banks of the Thames.

In contrast, Shakespeare's Henry V is usually seen sporting a crown, a swishing robe and a shiny sword. If you're stuck for something to do this evening, why not reinvent yourself in his image? The winner gets five free tickets to a performance of their choice (worth about £50) so there is a good reason to indulge in the silliness.

Or if that all sounds like a bit too much effort, you can just buy a ticket. They start at £10, which isn't much to see a theatre company that gets great reviews wherever it goes. Charley's Aunt was described as 'top quality theatre' by BBC Bristol. It has all the elements of the classic farce: mistaken identities, ill-fitting disguises, and unexpected romances. You can see it at Fletcher Moss between Thursday 7 August and Sunday 10 August.

Heartbreak's inventive version of Henry V is set in a boarding school and promises to be bold, fast-paced and thrilling with fights and fantastic language. It's on at Fletcher Moss on Saturday 26 July and Sunday 27 July.

The company is also putting on Peter Pan in Wythenshawe Park this weekend (10 July-12 July) and A Midsummer Night's Dream in the same place on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 July.
