On Friday 1st June 2007 the Malmaison in association with local Manchester Breweries, Marble and Bazen, are hosting the inaugural Ale Appreciation Dinner – the first of its kind in the city.
This will include five delicious courses using ale as an ingredient and served with a local ale to complement the dish. Dishes include items such as Farmer Sharp's naturally raised veal marinated in Marble Beer’s Lagonda with onion soubise. Good old Farmer Sharp.
Jonathan Schofield, the editor of Manchester Confidential, will introduce and close the evening.
Jonathan says, “Greater Manchester is the capital of real ale in the UK with more than twenty independent breweries, yet scarcely any hotels recognize this. It’s a food and drink scandal. Can you imagine a region in France not celebrating its own wine specialities? We have superb beers. This welcome event at the Malmaison will showcase them together with excellent food.”
The price for the evening is £35 per person and includes ale throughout the evening.
If you are interested in purchasing tickets to the evening, please call Gemma Spooncer on 0161 278 1053. Tickets are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
