The Confidential office has developed a serious cake habit after trying out the pastries and sweet treats on offer at Peppermint Bay last week.
Our own personal favourite is the chocolate brownie which comes with little pockets of caramel hiding inside
This deli-café on The Avenue in Spinningfields does all kinds of divine food, from home-rolled sushi to hot flatbread sandwiches to warming pasta dishes. But you can't beat a fruit custard tart when the mid-afternoon sugar slump hits.
Peppermint Bay sells an impressive array of home-made cakes and pastries, starting from £1.50. (Sign up for a Peppermint Bay card and you can have them, and all other food there, for half price right now – click here.)
Our own personal favourite is the chocolate brownie which comes with little pockets of caramel hiding inside. The oversized, home-made biscuits were another hit – you can choose from Custard Creams, Jammy Dodgers and Bourbons. You'll need a very big mug if you're going to dip one of these in your tea.
Just off Deansgate, Peppermint Bay is well situated for the 11am or 3pm cake run. But if you win this competition you won't even have to leave your desk.
They'll deliver cakes for up to 20 people to any office within five miles of the city centre if you win. Fancy it? Enter the competition by clicking the button above.
