There's a publicity campaign running at the moment for our fine city, called See What Manchester's Made Of. As part of it, the organisers have put together a list of the top ten most exciting and distinctly ‘Mancunian’ Christmas present ideas and experiences.
It includes delights such as a spa day at the Lowry Hotel, afternoon tea at Cloud 23 in the Hilton, a Duerrs gift set of all their finest jams and preserves, the remastered Stone Roses album, and the Manchester Monopoly set. You'll find the full, rather impressive, list below.
This part of the marketing campaign aims to tell the world how wonderful Manchester is for shopping. We're arguably the best place in England to shop outside of London, with 1272 shops including 75 independent retailers and the Arndale Centre, one of the largest in-town shopping malls in the UK. Good motorway links, 20,000 parking spaces, plus decent tram, train and bus routes (and the UK’s largest free city centre bus service) make the place accessible for those living near or far.
To be in with a chance of winning the top ten Mancunian Christmas presents, please answer the following question:
Send your answer along with your name, address, date of birth, and telephone number to top.ten@skvcommunications.co.uk before the closing date of Friday 11 December.
