The Royal Exchange Theatre has got some cracking plays coming up. The world premiere of Simon Stephens’ Punk Rock, the return of David Schofield to star as Archie Rice in The Entertainer, and a major revival of Lorraine Hansberry’s iconic A Raisin in the Sun are among the highlights of their autumn-winter season.
Audiences will also be able to enjoy Derek Griffiths and Suranne Jones starring in new productions of plays by Moliere and Noel Coward, a new play by Bruntwood Playwriting Competition winner Fiona Peek, and an exciting new month-long performance project which will see The Studio turned into a working pub.
