Win a night out at the Christmas market

Vouchers to spend on sausages, spiced wine, and festive fare. The nice people at Manchester Markets want to make one reader's Christmas by funding a night out for two at the city centre seasonal markets Wednesday 17 December 2008.

With your vouchers in hand, you'll be able to enjoy food and drink from all over the world, including sizzling bratwurst, hot & sweet strudels, speciality beers, spiced Glühwein and even Champagne cocktails.

A night out at the markets has become a must-do for many Mancunians. We know people who have their arrival marked in their desk diary months in advance. They provide a great excuse for an after-work or weekend drinking and noshing session, and the atmosphere there is sure to get you feeling all Christmassy.

As well as the food and drink stalls, there are chalets selling crafts and gifts such as "Matryoshka" Russian wooden dolls, decorative pottery, glassware, jewellery and accessories. Newcomers to the Albert Square market this year include Mrs Kirkham's Lancashire Cheeses, a Farmer's Market regular, and Seabridge brushed stainless steel jewellery.

There are markets to be found in St Ann's Square, Albert Square, Brazenose Street, and in Exchange Square and surrounding streets - read more about them here.

To enter the competition to win a night out at the Christmas markets for two people (worth £40) on Wednesday 17 December 2008, fill out the form below.
