Looking for a little intellectual stimulation? The Royal Exchange Theatre will be opening the second half of its 30th Anniversary Celebration year with a production of Edward Albee’s modern American masterpiece ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ – and we have two tickets to give away.
Set in the stifling atmosphere of an early sixties America - gripped by a missile crisis and spellbound by the glamour of the Kennedys – the play is a true modern classic; dark, powerful and very funny.
The play follows the action of one drunken night, when East coast campus couple George and Martha invite unsuspecting guests back for a night cap and dangerous games.
With a strong cast of four and the Royal Exchange’s high standards of production, this looks set to be a spectacular theatrical event for Manchester.
