Win Chronicles of Narnia Tickets

Published on November 23rd 2005.

Aw, Manchester is feeling lovely and Christmassy at the moment, and what better way to round off a day wandering around the Christmas markets than a trip to see Disney’s long awaited (deep breath) ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’? Wow what a mouthful.

‘The Chroni…’ erm, ‘Narnia’, is out in the UK on December the 8th and the lovely people at the Odeon in The Printworks have let us have us two tickets to give away. Although I am very tempted to steal the tickets myself, if you fancy a free trip to the pics then fill in your details below to be in with a chance of winning.

CS Lewis’s classic adventure follows the four Pevensie children in World War II England as they enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe. All absolutely normal behaviour.

When they get there, they discover that the beautiful and charming land of Narnia has been cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch (Tilda Swinton) who rules tyrannically with her army of goblins. Under the guidance of the magnificent lion Aslan (who seems to have eaten Liam Neeson), however, the children fight to overcome the White Witch’s icy hold over Narnia and restore peace and light to the land. Ah.

Thankfully a step up on the familiar 1988 BBC adaptation of the book in terms of special effects (Although I’m sure that the old version will always remain close to our hearts), this latest version will dazzle with its breathtaking scenery and sets to rival Lord of the Rings. Definitely one to see on the big screen.

If you fancy seeing the film for free, simply fill in your details below and a couple of tickets could be finding their way to you. Probably through your letterbox instead of your wardrobe though, unfortunately.
