There is a great art exhibition opening at Manchester Art Gallery this week, and you can be there to see it first, and for free, by entering our latest competition. As well as getting to see the exhibitions before anyone else, you'll also be able to mingle with all involved this Thursday 3rd March, 2005 6-8pm.
Supported by the Gaeia Partnership, the first exhibition, ‘The Sleep of Reason’ is by Stephen Dixon whose exhibition displays complex narratives questioning the ethics of our times, using themes of global politics and the balance of power, monarchy and national identity, environmental destruction. Powerful and intriguing stuff.
The second major exhibition on show will be ‘Art of the Garden’. Over 100 pieces will be on display, examining the impact of the garden over the past 200 years from Constable to vibrant contemporary photographs from Marc Quinn and Martin Parr.
All you have to do to enter our competition is email us on editor@manchesterconfidential.com with ‘Art’ in the subject line and a contact number in the text. Entries will go into a hat and you'll be contacted if you win! The winner will be able to pick the tickets up on the evening. If you miss out on the competition, we’ll be reviewing the exhibitions soon.
