MALAYSIA'S street food scene is one of the most vibrant in the world with seriously great, affordable food to be had in every town and village.

In this class he'll bring to life the passion, flavours and techniques of Malaysia's street food vendors

At this cookery class at the award-winning Ning restaurant in the Northern Quarter, you can learn how to create fragrant, fast street food dishes at home.

You'll be taught by Ning's head chef Norman Musa, whose home state, Penang, is the unofficial capital of Malaysian street food. In this class he'll bring to life the passion, flavours and techniques of its street food vendors, showing you the secrets of wok-cooking, stir-fries and more.

It's a hands-on, theatrical class with a varied menu of dishes including masalodeh, cucur badak, and nasi goreng ayam. The atmosphere is fun and friendly and its suitable for all levels, from novices to experienced chefs.

The street food cookery class is an all-day experience and you're given a recipe pack, background reading and a spice pack to take home. There are three classes coming up this autumn, all with different menus so you can book them as a series if you like.

Classes cost £145 per person. You save £50 if you book onto all three, or if you book three people or more onto one class. For dates and menus, click the link below
