Vampires Flock to the MEN

Published on October 26th 2005.

Halloween is just around the corner and the MEN Arena is about to be turned into a bloodsucking bloodbath as a vampire and his buddies take time out from terrorising surburbia’s doorsteps with tricks and treats to bring a rock spectacular to the city.

The sight of Dracula playing the guitar is a little odd, and the crowd might well be even odder – Bands like The Cradle of Filth aren’t playing anywhere that night so fans of those bands might be coming along – but we’ve got two pairs tickets to give away.

Not your usual rock show, this one’s all based around a musical comedy, where ‘The Hell Bound Express’ will be blasting their dark way through classic rock hits like Sweet Child Of Mine, Here I Go Again and Bat Out of Hell. It’s set in the year 2030 in New York where the undead are among us.

Steve Steinman plays Baron Von Rockula, owner of the Live and Let Die Club. In search of his bride, the Baron (whos mum and dad were murdered by the even more evil Van Helter-Skelter in 1808, must convince his chosen one to agree to immortality, to be his queen and live forever.

So, if you fancy selling your soul to rock n roll for a pre-Halloween spectacular show, then just fill out your details below for the chance to win a pair of tickets.

Rock-goers are also invited to dress up in their best vampire gear, although noone is allowed to throw bottles of blood on stage.
