Take That! And That! - Win Two Tickets

Published on December 15th 2005.

Despite Take That’s initial worries that nobody would be interested in them anymore, dormant ‘Thatters’ have re-awoken all over the country, emerging from every nook and cranny to jam phone lines and queue all night for tickets to their UK tour next year. Now, due to phenomenal demand, the band have announced that they will be adding three more dates to their Ultimate Tour – and – shh, don’t tell anyone – we have a pair of tickets to give away for the City of Manchester Stadium date on 17th June 2006, but you're going to have to work for these ones!

The last few weeks have witnessed a strange phenomenon in the UK, as the sleeping giant that is Take That’s fan base has fully recovered after a ten year coma. The hysteric screaming girls from the band’s hey day, who slid unnoticed into society after the split and have been living seemingly normal lives up and down the country, are back. Like Clark Kent shedding his disguise, they have ripped open their work shirts to reveal the Take That badge boldly emblazoned across their chests, and the morning of December 2nd saw a frantic race for tickets to one of the eleven concert dates. Within thirty minutes, all eleven dates were sold out. An extra 15 dates were added to the tour, but these were also quickly gobbled up eager fans.

With 275,000 tickets sold so far, Take That – The Ultimate Tour 06 is the second biggest and fastest selling tour to be announced in the UK this year, beaten only by former band mate Robbie Williams. And now, due to the colossal might of the fans, three more dates have been added to the Ultimate Tour, including one at the City of Manchester Stadium on 17th June. The Cardiff Millenium Stadium and the new Wembley Arena are the other two chosen venues. To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to the Manchester event, fill out the form below.

Tickets for the extra dates went sale at 9am this morning (16th December). If you haven’t been lucky enough to get hold of any tickets to the other 26 dates, then store the box office number in your phone, get your mum, your gran, your neighbour’s best friend’s cousin - everyone you know - to hammer their redial buttons, and take no prisoners in the race to get hold of some tickets.

Or, you could just fill in the form below to be in with a chance of winning a pair, telling us why you think you are deserving of them. All entries will be notified in the New Year with details of what they will have to do next to win the tickets!

Good luck!

If you're not lucky enough to win the tickets, you can still go to www.gigsandtours.com or call the box office number on:
