Q Pod Update

Published on October 20th 2005.

Now we have been talking about this for quite some time and I’m sure there are some readers who thought it was a bit of Gordo pony just to get you all excited but I assure you it’s not. We have, finally, and courtesy of kindly Uncle Noel (Edmonds that is…), got our hands on a Q-Pod , which we are giving away in the next few weeks in conjunction with Galaxy Manchester - click here to enter.

Now for those of you who don’t know, and here’s the sales pitch… Q-pod is quite simply unique; a dual purpose vehicle which a first glance resembles a cross between a quad bike and a smart car (or possibly a four-wheeled Mr Blobby? - Gordo), it effortlessly blends off-road functionality with on-road practicality. Q-pod’s eye-catching styling and innovative design combine to produce an extraordinarily versatile vehicle, equally at home on the highway or across challenging terrain; it even comes with the added safety benefits of a roll bar and low centre of gravity. Hmmm…maybe Ozzy Osbourne or Rik Mayall should have got one? - Click here to enter.

Noel Edmonds liked them so much he bought the company, and we here at Confidential Towers have to agree, we have been buzzing round Manchester in it for the last week and we’ve never had so much fun.

So if you're the sort who thinks the Fiat Panda 4x4 is too big and cumbersome, then the Q-Pod might be the perfect vehicle for you. It makes even a Smart car look like a 50s American barge. With a 340cc engine two seats and a top speed of over 45mph the Q-pod is road legal, costs from £4,195 and claims to be capable of up to 100mpg. Don’t miss out on this, listen to Galaxy Manchester in November or enter here for your chance to win this unique vehicle.
